Morphogenesis (Company)

Morphogenesis is an architectural firm in India. It was founded by Manit Rastogi and Sonali Rastogi in 1996. As of now, the company operates offices in Delhi and Bangalore and provides Architectural services.[1]

History

The firm was established by Manit and Sonali Rastogi. The first project of the company was working with Apollo Tyres.[2] The company started out as a two-person studio in a tiny room above a garage.[3] As of now, the company profile tells it has over 100 employees.[4]

Causes

Manit Rastogi has studied the interconnect of 18 major nullahs and 20,000 tertiary ones across the national capital. In support of the action, Morphogenesis, submitted a proposal to the Delhi Government in 2009.[5][6] He has also suggested for the improvement in the Delhi development model to ensure risk free walking or cycling for children.[7]

Sonali Rastogi has been appointed as a member of the Delhi Urban Art Commission (DUAC). The committee works towards preserving, developing and maintaining the aesthetic quality of urban and environmental design in Delhi.[8][9]

Awards & Accolades

Morphogenesis has won awards that include the WAF award and SIA-GETZ Architecture Prize 2014.[13]

Morphogenesis presented their work at the Design Leadership Summit in New York City. The participants at conference included thinkers, innovators and creative minds, including author Fran Lebowitz and architectural photographer Iwan Baan.[14]
