Morgan Randyll (1649 – 1738 or later), of Chilworth Manor, Surrey was an English politician. [1]

Chilworth Manor, Surrey

He was born the eldest son of Vincent Randyll of Chilworth and educated at Wadham College, Oxford, where he was awarded a BA in 1670. He then studied law at the Middle Temple and was called to the bar in 1677. He inherited Chilworth Manor from his father in 1673.

He was elected a Member (MP) of the Parliament of England for Guildford in October 1679, 1681, 1690, 1695, 1698, February 1701, December 1701, 1702, 1708, 3 February 1711, 1713 and 1715.

He was selected High Sheriff of Surrey for 1686-7 and served as a Deputy-lieutenant of the county for February-October 1688 and 1702 onwards. The cost of his electioneering forced him to sell his property in Chilworth but he was nevertheless committed to a debtors prison.

He married in 1678, Anne, the daughter and coheiress of Sir Thomas Gould, draper, of Aldermanbury, London, with whom he had 2 daughters.
