Moolia

Moolia is a village of Abbottabad District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is part of Bakot Union Council and is located in the east of the district.[1] It was impacted by the 2005 earthquake.[2]

Moolia is one of the biggest and well populated villages of the UC Bakote. Previously it was uc but in recent time it is part of the UC Bakot and one of the biggest village of not only this UC but also considered in the list of the few biggest villages of PF 45. it has many hamlets some major are Ghorwara, Havali, Jhanglie Gali, laree, Batangi Kehter, Kehter, Nighrori, upper pand, Chatibat, Kiasbagla, Nala, Nithial, Arra, Dandian, Kah-na-Kehter, Ghandan, Bagh, Topa, Kohi etc.The people of a village are very hardworking, industrious and graceful. Allah has bestowed them with superb and glorious natural beauty like Moolia New Murree, Panyali, ratra par, Kali Parri, kathian situated at the corner of the village and snatches the attention of the visitors, come, across the country. A part from it, village has very famous cataract, Abshar (high flow of water) known as SANGAM ABSHAR, people came from far and wide and enjoy the beauty of the natural cataract.SANGAM ABSHAR is well known picnic spot, its speciality is the high flow of cold and transparent water in natural way increases the beauty and snatches the attention of the beholder. People came here and enjoy the cold water by taking off shoos/sandal & dipping the bare feet in the cold water and some time throw the water to each other to make a fun and laughing and enjoying to release the hotness of the weather. With the passage of time this natural masterpiece increase the value of this area and became the centre of recreation /picnic and very valuable spot of tourism although despite the dearth of advance shopping centre and other facilities SANGUM Abshar popularity increases day by day . Abbasi is the major and prominent cast although other people such as Awans, lohars, Janjohas, syed etc. are opted to reside here. The village has one Government High Schools, and one primary Schools for boys and one for Girls. Although it has many Government Masjad Primary Schools. Government High Schools Moolia is one of the best schools of the area. Students came here from far and wide and quest the quench of Education. Many students of this school got very high and prominent position in their practical life by securing jobs in Government as well as in private sectors. The literacy rate of the village is very high especially in females; we can say 90% of young girls are educated. Beside the Government Schools, there is also a private schools system known as SASA, it contributes well in literacy rates especially the girls education. Over all literacy rate of the villages is also very favourable/ high as compare the other villages of the UC. We have Doctors, Engineers, and Professors, Lecturers. Religious Scholars, Political and social elders. Moolia has very high vote bank that’s why it seizes the attention of the politicians. Major Political parties here are PMN, PPPP, Jamat-e-Islami etc. But the people cast their votes on baradarisam/relation based, personality based rather than political affiliation. But now in upcoming election, perhaps the situation would be changed.
