Mondamin is a large crater in the southern hemisphere of the dwarf planet Ceres, located at 62.24° S, 354° E. It has a diameter of 126 kilometres (78 mi). The crater is named after Mondamin, an Ojibwe corn (maize) god.[1] It was officially named by the IAU on October 15, 2015.[1]
Nearby prominent craters are the small Tibong and Belun to the north, Annona to the north-northeast and east is the slightly larger Zadeni, about a crater diameter to the west is Yalode and attached to the southern rim is Jacheongbi, down south is the South Pole. East of the crater center is the dwarf planet's meridian.
