Mohd Nizar bin Zakaria (Jawi: محمد نيزر بن زكريا; born 3 January 1969) is a Malaysian politician. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) party in the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.[1]
Nizar was elected to Parliament in the 2008 election for the UMNO held seat of Parit.[2] In June 2010, he was a passenger on the MV Rachel Corrie when it was seized by the Israel Defense Forces while attempting to deliver supplies to Gaza.[3]
For the 2013 election, Nizar left federal parliament to contest, and win, the Perak State Legislative Assembly seat of Belanja.[4]
