Mohammad Abdur Rab is a professor of management and a certified management consultant. At present, he is the vice-chancellor of International University of Business Agriculture and Technology. His areas of specialization are Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship. He is specially trained in the curriculum design, educational quality assurance & accreditation, faculty development. He has 40 years of teaching experience at undergraduate, graduate and professional levels in business schools. He has also served as trainer in many executive development programs and training of trainers programs. He was a faculty in international training programs in Mumbai, Delhi and Dhaka.

Rab was a professor of management at IBA, Dhaka University for over 30 years and it's Director for 3 years. He was the Dean of BRAC Business School and professor of management in North South University. He served as the Vice-President and thereafter as President of the Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA) for three years.He is a member of the Accreditation Council and the Accreditation Award Committee of the South Asian Quality System (SAQS) for Business Schools. He is a fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, Bangladesh (IMCB) and was its Chairman in 2010-2012. He holds a doctorate degree from University of Belgrade, MBA from Indiana University, USA and M.Com & B.Com (Hon's) from University of Dhaka. He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) from Australia.
