Miss Transqueen India is an Indian beauty pageant for the transgender people over India. Reena Rai is the founder and also the chairperson of the organization. The winner of the title will represent India at Miss International Queen and the first runner-up will too represent the nation at Miss Transsexual Australia[1].

The first and the reigning Miss Transqueen India is Nitasha Biswas from Kolkata[2].

History

The founder was working on the project to make it into limelight since November 2016 but, due to lack of sponsorship the project remained unsuccessful. The first ever Miss Transqueen India was held at Gurugram, New Delhi were 16 contestants competed for the crown selected from among 1500 transgenders across 10 states[3].

Format

The contestants will go through several rounds after the audition and making to finals. The rounds include evening gown, swimsuit, traditional and the at the final question answer round[4].

Miss Transsexual Australia

The first runner-up of Miss Transqueen India will be titled Miss Transsexual India and will represent her country at Miss Transsexual Australia.
