Miss Indonesia 2009

Miss Indonesia 2009 is the 5th edition of Miss Indonesia. The final night of Miss Indonesia 2009 was held in Cendrawasih Room, Jakarta Convention Center, on June 5, 2009. The event was hosted by Tantowi Yahya and first runner-up of Miss Indonesia 2008, Kartika Indah Pelapory

At the end of the night, Miss Indonesia 2008, Sandra Angelia finally crowned the chosen Miss Indonesia 2009, Kerenina Sunny Halim from Jakarta SCR. Miss Indonesia 2009 also attended by Miss World 2008, Ksenia Sukhinova from Russia.

• Kerenina Sunny Halim, representative of DKI Jakarta was half Indonesian-American. Her mother was American and Her father was Indonesian. She also the sister of Indonesian actor, Steve Emmanuel/ Yusuf Iman.
• Tantowi Yahya has been four times became the host of Miss Indonesia since 2005.
• This is the first time that the first runner up of Miss Indonesia on previous year became host on the next year's Miss Indonesia. Kartika Indah Pelapory, first runner up Miss Indonesia 2008, became host on this year 'Miss Indonesia 2009'.
• Nurastuti Wijareni, representative of Yogyakarta, was a daughter of Yogyakarta's Governor, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X.
• Grace Joselini, representative of East Kalimantan, was competing again on Puteri Indonesia 2009 this October but did not placed. But she got Miss Kalimantan Favorite on that pageant.
• Kalia Labitta Yudhasoka, representative of West Java, was competing again on Puteri Indonesia 2010 but did not placed.
