The Ministry of Environment (Portuguese: Ministério do Meio Ambiente, abbreviated MMA) is a cabinet-level federal ministry in Brazil. Izabella Teixeira, a career employee of IBAMA, has served as the Minister of Environment since her appointment in May 2010.[2] In May 12, 2016, Sarney Filho was appointed by Michel Temer as Minister of Environment.
