Michelle Buteau is a stand-up comedian,[1] actress, and podcast host.[2][3]
Early life
Buteau was born in New Jersey to a Haitian father and Jamaican mother.[4]
Career
Buteau started performing comedy a few days after September 11, 2001.[5][6]
In 2017, Buteau was listed as one of ten comedians to watch by Esquire Magazine.[7]
In 2018, Buteau started hosting the Late Night Whenever! podcast,[8][9] which was labeled as "one of the best podcasts of 2018 so far" by Time Magazine.[10] Buteau was also part of The Comedy Lineup on Netflix where up and coming comedians have 15 minute stand-up sets.[11][12]
In 2019, Buteau will appear in two movies: Isn't It Romantic and Always Be My Maybe.[13]
Personal life
Buteau is married to Dutch photographer Gijs van der Most.[14]
