Meer, Beytüşşebap

Meer (Aramaic: ܡܥܪ, Turkish: Kovankaya) is an Assyrian village in the district of Beytüşşebap of Şırnak Province in Turkey. It is one of the few remaining Assyrian villages within Şırnak Province. In Aramaic, "Meer" translates to "construct".

Meer is one of the oldest villages in the district and forms part of the historical region of Hakkari. The village was abandoned during the 20th century as a result of the Kurdish–Turkish conflict. The village was resettled in 2011.
