The red-necked pond turtle (Mauremys nigricans)[1] is a species of turtles in the family Geoemydidae[1] endemic to China.[1] It is most likely restricted to Guangxi and Guangdong provinces. Other common names include Kwangtung river turtle and black-necked pond turtle.[3]
