Mathias Schlie (born 31 January 1988) is a Danish footballer who is currently unattached.

Club career

FC Hjørring

After training with AC Horsens without any agreement, Schlie extended his contract with FC Hjørring.[2]

In the summer 2009, Schlie trained with Vejle Boldklub in one week, this time. They didn't get to any agreement too.[3]

Brabrand IF

On 27 July 2009, Schlie transferred to the Danish 1st Division club, Brabrand IF.[4]

Hobro IK

Schlie signed a contract with Hobro IK on 21 July 2010.[5]

FC Fredericia

After playing one season at Hobro, he joined FC Fredericia on a professional contract on 5 July 2011.[6]

Vendsyssel FF

In the summer 2012, Schlie joined his old club FC Hjørring, who changed name to Vendsyssel FF.[7]

Hobro IK

On 27 June 2014, Schlie joined the new promoted Danish Superliga club, Hobro IK, on a 2-year contract.[8]

Hobro terminated Schlie's contract on 3 February 2016 a half year before his contract expired.[9]

Valur (loan)

On 27 July 2015 it was confirmed, that the Hobro reserve Schlie had signed a season long loan deal with Icelandic Úrvalsdeild-side Valur.[10]

Brabrand IF

On 27 April 2016 it was confirmed, that Schlie had signed with Brabrand IF.[11]

Vendsyssel FF

After only a few months at Brabrand IF, Schlie signed with his former club Vendsyssel, where he had to deal with two roles: As a player on full-time while working in the board with the sale department.[12] On 26 May 2018, Vendsyssel announced that this season was the last for Schlie at the club, at thanked him for his huge work with integrating young players into the first team squad during his time at the club.[13]
