Marta Bassino (born 27 February 1996) is a World Cup alpine ski racer from Italy, 5th in giant slalom at the 2018 Winter Olympics.[1]

Biography

Born in Cuneo, Piedmont, she lives in Borgo San Dalmazzo.[2] Bassino made her World Cup debut in March 2014 at age 18, and her first full season on the World Cup circuit was in 2015. At her first World Championships in 2015, Bassino took part in the giant slalom, qualifying for the second run in 8th place, but did not finishing. She gained her first World Cup podium in a giant slalom at Sölden in October 2016.
