Manchiki Maro Peru (English: Another Name for Goodness) is a 1976 Telugu Action drama film, produced by M. Manohar under the Sree Ramakrishna Films banner[3] and directed by C. S. Rao.[4] It stars N. T. Rama Rao, Krishnam Raju and Padmapriya in the lead roles,[5] with music composed by S. Rajeswara Rao.[6][7]
Plot
Jayanth (N. T. Rama Rao) is a truthful and honest gentleman. Under his guidance, his close friends Ravi (Rama Krishna), Chandrika (Prabha) and younger brother Kiran (Krishnam Raju) become Policeman, Lawyer and Journalist respectively. Jayanth works as a security officer in a temple, which is headed by trustee Ramadasu (Prabhakar Reddy). He has a younger brother Bhujangam (again Prabhakar Reddy), who is a big gangster and smuggles the idols to foreign countries. Bhushaiah (Nagabhushanam) and Seshayya (Allu Ramalingaiah) are his partners. Ravi is the son of Bhushiah and Sheshiah's daughter is Dr. Neelima (Padmapriya), who loves Jayanth. Ravi and Chandrika are also in love. Meanwhile, Jayanth discovers the frauds happening in the temple. While he is about to reveal it, Ramadasu requests him to keep it as a secret to protect the honor of the temple and makes him resign. Jayanth gets another job in a factory owned by Bhujangam. There also, he fights for the welfare of the workers and develops an enmity with management. On the other side, Kiran brings out all the atrocities in the factory on his news articles. To get rid of Jayanth, Bhujangam implicates him into a false case and sends him to jail. In the jail, he gets acquainted with a goon Gangulu (Satyanarayana) and both of them become friends. He says to Jayanth that tit for tat is the only way to teach a lesson to this society. But he doesn’t agree with him. Ravi, Kiran, Chandrika and Neelima prove the innocence of Jayanth and get him released. At the same time, Bhujangam places a bomb in Kiran’s press and due to a mishap, Jayanth's sister dies. Seeing his sister's dead body, Jayanth decides to take revenge against the society. He joins hands with Gangulu, changes his lifestyle and becomes a gangster. He mingles with Bhusaiah and Seshayya. Meanwhile, Ravi and Kiran suspect and follow him. Surprisingly, at last, it is shown that Ganguju is CID officer Anand Mohan, who has taken Jayanth's help to eradicate the illegal activities in the country. They also find out that the real head of the gang is Ramadasu. Finally, Jayanth catches all the criminals and establishes peace in the society.
