Maggie Thrash is an American young adult fiction writer and memoirist, best known for her graphic novel memoir Honor Girl.
Honor Girl, Thrash's first book, was published by Candlewick Press in 2015.[1] The book describes her early life as a teenager coming out as a lesbian while attending conservative summer camp.[2][3][4] It received strongly favorable reviews[5] and was named a finalist for the 2016 Los Angeles Times Book Prize in the Graphic Novel/Comics category.[6]
Thrash's second book, We Know It Was You, is a mystery for young adults,[7] published in 2016 by the Simon Pulse imprint of Simon & Schuster.[8][9] It serves as the first volume in her Strange Truth series.[10] The sequel, Strange Lies, was published in October 2017.[11]
Thrash lives in Delaware[12] and is a frequent contributor to Rookie, an online magazine for teenage girls.[13]
