Logan Trotter (born 27 September 1998 in Harrogate, England) is a Scottish rugby union player who is a Stage 3 Scottish Rugby Academy player assigned to Glasgow Warriors. His usual position is at Wing.[2]

Rugby Union career

Amateur career

Trotter moved to Scotland from Harrogate at the age of 5.

He has played rugby union at Stirling County since he was 6 and at school at McLaren High School in Callander.[3]

He started his career at Full Back but now plays on the Wing.[4] He won the Under 18 Youth Cup final with Stirling in 2015 and 2016.[5]

He began playing for the 1st XV at Stirling County RFC in the Scottish Premiership when he was 17.[6]

He played for the Caledonia Under 20 side in 2016.[7]

Trotter was entered into the Scottish Rugby Academy in 2016.[8]

Professional career

Trotter graduated to be a Stage 3 player in the Fosroc Scottish Rugby Academy for the 2018-19 season. Stage 3 players are given a professional contract by the Academy. He was placed in the Glasgow academy and assigned to Glasgow Warriors for the season.[9]

International career

Trotter first played for Scotland U20 in the 2017 Six Nations Under 20s Championship against Italy.[10][11]

He followed this up by representing the U20s at the 2018 Six Nations Under 20s Championship[12] and the 2018 World Rugby Under 20 Championship in France in the summer.[13]

He played the most minutes of any Scotland U20 player in the World U20 Championship and was the only player to start all 5 matches for Scotland.[14]
