Lithuanian presidential election, 2019

Presidential elections are scheduled to be held in Lithuania on 12 May 2019.[1] Incumbent president Dalia Grybauskaitė is term-limited.
Candidates
Declared candidates
- Naglis Puteikis, member of the Seimas, Chairman of the Lithuanian Centre Party
- Aušra Maldeikienė, well-known economist, Member of the Seimas
- Vygaudas Ušackas, former EU Ambassador to Russia
- Valentinas Mazuronis, member of the European Parliament, former Minister of Environment
- Gitanas Nausėda, economist, lecturer
- Petras Auštrevičius, member of the European Parliament
- Arvydas Juozaitis, philosopher, former sportsman.
- Rolandas Paksas, member of the European Parliament, former impeached President of Lithuania[2]
- Narimantas Sedys, philosopher and developer.

The following Lithuanians are mentioned in the media as potential candidates for the 2019 presidential election:
- Vilija Blinkevičiūtė, MEP[3] and former Minister of Social Security and Labour (2000–2008)
- Visvaldas Matijošaitis, Mayor of Kaunas[4]
- Saulius Skvernelis, Prime Minister since 2016, former Minister of Interior (2014–2016) [5]
- Valdemar Tomaševski, politician, leader of party of Poles of Lithuania.
- Artūras Zuokas, politician and former Mayor of Vilnius (2000–2007, 2011–2015) [6]
The following Lithuanians have expressed their desire to participate in the TS-LKD's presidential primaries:
- Ingrida Šimonytė, economist, MP and former Minister of Finance (2009–2012)[7]
