Ingrida Šimonytė (born 15 November 1974) is a Lithuanian economist, politician and former Minister of Finance. In 2013 Šimonytė was appointed Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania.[1] In parallel to her duties she was teaching economics at Vilnius University Institute of International Relations and Political Science, and public finance at ISM University of Management and Economics.

She stepped down on 31 October 2016 to take over her duties as Member of the Seimas as she was elected in Antakalnis constituency in Lithuanian parliamentary election, 2016.[2] On 24th of September, 2018 Šimonytė has announced, that she will participate at Conservative party primaries for Lithuanian presidential election, 2019.[3]

In addition to her native Lithuanian, Šimonytė speaks English, Polish and Russian as well as basic Swedish.[4]
