Ranil Wickremesinghe, the 10th and current Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, was elected on 15 August 2015 as a result of the Sri Lankan general election, 2015. The following is a list of international prime ministerial trips made by Wickremesinghe since he assumed office. In addition, he was Sri Lankan's Prime minister from 1993 to 1994 and 2001 to 2004. The list does not include his trips in his 1st and 2nd term, that included United States meeting President George W. Bush in 2004 [1], India and many others.

Japan Osaka, Tokyo 4–8 October 2015 State visit
  • This visit is made on the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
  • Wickremesinghe delivered a special lecture at the inaugural ceremony of Japan Science and Technology Association's annual sessions in Kyoto
  • He addressed the Japanese Diet (Parliament)(He is the third world leader who addressed the Diet of Japan).
China Beijing 6 to 9 April State visit This is the third overseas visit made by prime minister Ranil Wickeremesinghe on the invitation of Government of China.
Switzerland Davos 19 to 23 January 2016 Official visit Attend the World Economic Forum[3]
Singapore Singapore 17–19 July 2016 State visit This is the first state visit of Ranil Wickremesinghe to Singapore by the invitation of Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong

Australia Melbourne Canberra 13–16 February 2017 State visit invitation of Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull[9] and receive the honorary doctorate in law at the graduation ceremony of Deakin University
Japan Tokyo 10–16 April 2017 State visit
  • This visit is made on the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.[10]
Vietnam Hanoi 16–19 April 2017 State visit
  • This visit is made on the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister and President.[11]
  • Wickramasinghe cut short the visit by one day to return to Sri Lanka after 38 people died in Colombo.[12]
China Beijing 13 to 16 May 2017 Belt and Road Initiative This is the second official visit by prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on the invitation of Government of China.
