Aira is the main character of Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream[4], the first season of Pretty Rhythm. She is a junior high school girl[4]who, one day, was scouted by a man named Jun to be a Prism Star. She was born on September 3, 1997, which is coincidentally the same date as Rizumu's. She is known to be clumsy, naive, and nonathletic, but is very optimistic and considerate of others. Aira is a huge fan of Mion, having called her "Mion-sama" for a while before being asked by the latter to stop. She has a younger brother, Itsuki, who teases her often, and two little twin sisters, Uru and Eru, who always cheer her on. Aira's strongest suit is fashion, being very good at coordinating clothes and having the ability to hear them "sing". She may have gotten her talent from her mother, Omi Harune, who used to be a Prism Star stylist. Her catchphrase is "Happy Lucky!". She is a fan of clothes from "Prism Stone", a store run by Shō from Callings, whom Aira also has a crush on. It seems that they kissed in Episode 48 of "Dear My Future". She claims that she loves Shō's designs, not him, though it is obvious to Rizumu and Mion that she does indeed have feelings for him. She had gone on a date with said boy to the fireworks festival. Her father tends to be overprotective of her, which is a running gag throughout the series, such as the odd fashions he forces on her and how he tries to keep Shō away from her. Aira's song is called "Dream Goes On" and was first heard in Episode 10. Aira's wedding dress name is "Pure Premium Wedding Dress" and her Symphonia dress name is "Symphonia Dress of Mistery". She always tries to do her best and wants to become the Prism Queen to perform the "Aurora Rising", thinking that it will bring her mother back, the legendary Prism Queen Sonata Kanzaki, who disappeared after performing the legendary jump. Rizumu sometimes tries so hard that she forgets what the Prism Show is really about. She has orange hair and light brown eyes which is noted by Aira's mother to look exactly like how a younger Sonata did. She seems to be knowledgeable about love from a certain book of hers. It is obvious to viewers and Rizumu's significant others that she is romantically interested in Hibiki who is a member of Callings, like Shō. As a result, she easily becomes jealous of any girl who seemingly displays an interest in him. She loves to eat almost anything and especially enjoys meat and chocolate. Her catchphrase is "I'm full of energy!". In "Pretty Rhythm:Dear My Future", Rizumu and Hibiki announced that they were engaged in Episode 28. They got married in Episode 51. She often says her thoughts out loud and can also be stubborn at times. She usually tries to act like an adult. In the beginning, Mion thought that the Prism Show was a waste of her time until she saw Aira and Rizumu perform in the Tiara Cup, and got her motivation back. Eventually, it is revealed that she is very lonely without her parents but tries not to show it. She, however, warmed up to Aira and Rizumu after losing the Summer Queen Cup. Mion seems to like and admire Jun despite the latter being 10 years older than her. Her catchphrase is "Mion switch on!". Over time, Mion becomes closer with Aira and Rizumu. She turns out to afraid of dark places, ghosts, and other supernatural beings. At first, she had thought that Wataru, another member of Callings, was unreliable and depended more on Jun until he proved to her that he would protect her. Shō is the leader of the boys idol unit group, Callings. He has brown hair and violet eyes. He is also the designer and manager of "Prism Stone", Aira's favorite clothing store. Shō is a reliable leader and tends to give Aira advice from time to time, although there are times when he also loses his temper. Shō is in his first year of high school, along with Hibiki and Wataru. It is shown that when under pressure he can snap, like he did at Aira when she talked about his design for his upcoming deadline. He had asked and given Aira advice on what her dream really was. They kissed in Episode 48 of "Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future". He is impressed by Aira's fashion sense and likes to tease her occasionally. He, like Mion, is afraid of dark places (Achluophobia) which amused Aira. Shō admitted to the girl that he was in love with her in Episode 34, but won't act on his feelings as long as he is in Callings. Their love continued in "Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future".

He likes to tease Rizumu and to give her advice. It is revealed that his younger sister is Tōdō Kanon, who beat Aira, Mion, and Rizumu in the Summer Queen Cup with her partner, Jōnouchi Serena. He also gave Rizumu advice when she was so focused on winning the Tiara Cup, she no longer truly enjoyed being in Prism Shows. He is shown to be nice to everyone and is often seen with Rizumu when she is eating. Hibiki and Rizumu even have a secret place (the same place where Sonata was proposed to by Rizumu's dad). Hibiki is the only member of Callings to have his surname revealed, since he is the biological brother of Kanon. He is also the love interest of Rizumu. Despite Wataru's cute appearance, he is actually very good at studying and helped Rizumu to overcome her problem with her schoolwork. Wataru once told Mion that he enjoys working as an idol with Shō and Hibiki. He told her that he would protect her, when they went into a dark place on Halloween together which Rizumu took as the beginning of their love. He develops feelings for Mion throughout the series. Wataru tells her to be more dependent on him, and that despite his childish looks, he can be serious, trustworthy, and knows when Mion is in trouble (so he always comes and cheers her up). She was very worried about what would happen to Rizumu if she had done Aurora Rising. At first, it was said that Kyōko is half siblings with Jun, born by the same mother but different father. However, later, in Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future, it is discovered that Jun was actually adopted by Kyōko's mother, Kei.
