List of Downtown MRT line station names

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) began conducting a public consultation exercise over the internet as well as via survey forms to gather public feedback on the naming of stations for the Downtown line Stage 2 stations from 30 July to 26 August 2008, and later shortlisted on November 2008 to March 2009. station names were announced gradually thereafter.[1]

Public feedback for Stage 3 station names was conducted from December 13, 2010 to January 12, 2011, with shortlisted station names for public voting from June 1 to July 15, 2011. The final names for the Downtown line 3 stations were announced on January 23, 2012.[2]

Public consultation to source for names for the Downtown MRT line extension was conducted from 30 April 2015 to 31 May 2015. 2 names were shortlisted and public voting was conducted from October 1 to October 31, 2015.[3] The final names for the Downtown MRT line extension stations were announced on 21 July 2016. [4]
