Linda Frum (born January 13, 1963) is a member of the Senate of Canada[1] since 2009. She was nominated by Stephen Harper. In 2014 she questioned whether Election Canada had the right to encourage people to vote.[2] She lives in Toronto with her second husband Howard Sokolowski, a real estate developer.[3]
As a senator she receives an annual salary of $142,400 plus payments for extra official duties, and about $150,000 for research and office expenses, as well as travel allowance worth tens of thousands of dollars.[4] After having been an senator for six years she will get a lifetime pension.[5]
