Lena Chamamyan (Arabic: لينا شماميان, Armenian: Լենա Շամամյան) is a Syrian singer of Armenian origin.[1]

Life

Lena Chamamaan, also Lena Chamamyan, was born in Damascus. She graduated in 2002 from the Faculty of Commerce at the University of Damascus. She then went on to study classical music at the Conservatory in Damascus. She sings in five different languages, predominantly Syrian and Armenian music mixed with Western influences. In 2006 she released her first album, which also attracted attention in the European media. She is working with Manfred Leuchter, among others, and currently lives in Paris.[2]
