The Lausitzisch-neumärkisch dialects are part of East Central German dialects spoken in the central and southern parts of Brandenburg as well as in Berlin. It is not to be confused with the Low German Brandenburgisch dialect (Markish) still spoken in northern Brandenburg.
With the growth of Berlin, the original East Low German Brandenburgish dialects are now strongly influenced by East Central German dialects. That makes Lausitzisch-neumärkisch now be usually classified as East Central German.
