Lakeshore High School is a public high school in unincorporated St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, north of Mandeville, Louisiana, U.S.A. Lakeshore High School receives the students from Monteleone Junior High School. The school is operated by the St. Tammany Parish Public Schools district.[2]

The school serves almost all of Lacombe and a small section of Mandeville.[3] Lakeshore was founded in 2009 and its current enrollment is around 1,072 students, as of Fall 2017. The current mascot for Lakeshore High School is the Titans, and they are rivals of the Fontainebleau Bulldogs and the Mandeville Skippers.

Academics

Lakeshore High School is well known for its academic excellence. The school offers many AP courses including Human Geography, Chemistry, English III, Calculus, and World History. Lakeshore is in relation to a number of colleges that offer Duel-Enrollment courses on school grounds.

Athletics

  • Lakeshore High School is a member of District 8-4A and is known for its strong athletic programs.
  • Lakeshore High School girls soccer won the 2016 state championship.
  • Lakeshore High School football team is currently ranked 3rd in Louisiana.

Organizations

Student Council

The Lakeshore High Student Council has been around since the schools opening. It is a member of the Louisiana Association of Student Councils (LASC) and have held multiple positions on the District level, including LASC District II President (2016-2017,2018-2019) and Vice President (2017-2018). The Student Council is in charge of many school events including Homecoming, Lakeshore Lagniappe, and Macho Man Volleyball.

Band

The Fightin' Titan Band was founded in 2009, when the school was first opened. The band currently consists of around 50 students.

Youth & Government

This LHS Club is centered on debate and discussion. The Youth & Government Club attends Model United Nations & Louisiana Youth Legislation.
