La Coiffeuse

La Coiffeuse is a painting by Pablo Picasso.

History

The painting was done by Pablo Picasso in 1911.[1][2] It is 33x46 centimetre (or 13x18 inch).[1]

The painting was donated to the French state.[1][3] It was last exhibited in Berlin, Germany, in 1998.[1][3] It was then stored at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.[1][3] However, it was stolen in 2001.[1][3] In December 2014, it was sent via FedEx from Belgium to the United States with a customs indication as a Christmas present.[1][3] Upon its arrival, it was seized by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Newark, New Jersey.[1][3] By August 2015, it was returned to the French state.[1]

As of 2015, it is worth an estimated US$15 million.[1]
