Krokocie [krɔˈkɔt͡ɕe] (German: Soffen) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Ełk, within Ełk County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Ełk and 127 km (79 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia). As of 2010, there was only one remaining ethnic German living there, nonagenarian Martha Piwak, who was born in the final days of the German Empire.[2]
