The DDD-1 (Dynamic Digital Drums)[3] is an sampling drum machine introduced in 1986 by Korg.[4]It offers more features than the DDD-5 and is highly regarded for it's sounds and sequencer. The unit also featured a limited sampling option for adding sounds to the drum machine. It also has a fully featured MIDI implementation and had six assignable outputs and also had a backlit LCD screen.

Sounds

Highly regarded for its sounds and sequencer, it features 18 on board sounds. Additional sounds can be added using 4 ROM expansion slots. The editable parameters such as decay and tuning are available for the on board sounds: Kicks, snares, toms, rimshot, closed hi hats, open hi hats, ride, crash, claps, cowbell, tambourine and cabasa.
