Kodai Senga (千賀 滉大, Senga Kodai, born January 30, 1993, in Gamagōri, Aichi, Japan) is a professional Japanese baseball player. He plays pitcher for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks of Nippon Professional Baseball.

Through 2016, he was 16-10 with a 2.45 ERA.[1]

He played on Team Japan in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.[2] Following the conclusion of the tournament, he was named to the 2017 All-World Baseball Classic team.[3]

Playing style

Senga is a 6 ft 1 in, 190 lb right-handed pitcher. With a three-quarters delivery he throws a fastball that tops out at 157 kilometres per hour (97.6 mph)[4], a deceptive forkball, and a slider.
