Khaira is Ahir-dominated urban village inhabited by people belonging to the following gotras: Lamba and Aphariya , located in the South-West District of Delhi under Najafgarh Teshil on Shaheed Rao Laxmi Chand Marg (the road well known as Main Khaira Road). A Yadav/Ahir of this village are also known as Rao (surname) . The village is a part of Surheda Satra Gaon Panchayat.Meena tarun Yadav who is the municipal councillor of Najafgarh ward is from Khaira Village only.Another famous personality namely Jawahar yadav who has remained OSD to Haryana Chief Minister manohar Lal Khattar is also from Khiara Village but long back his family shifted to Gurgaon.At present he is serving as Haryana's Housing Board Chairman.
