Kexbrough is a village in the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley (part of South Yorkshire, England), on the border with West Yorkshire.[1] The village falls within the Darton West ward of Barnsley MBC.

'Transport in Kexbrough

Kexbrough is served by local and Express buses to Barnsley Interchange via Baurgh Green or Mapplewel as well as longer distance services to Wakefield and Leeds. Bus companies that operate in Kexbrough are Stagecoach and Globe Coaches. Bus routes are 93,93a,95,95a,96,96a and X10. There is currently no railway station. The nearest station is Darton Railway Station. Kexbrough lies directly to the west of Darton and is connected by the A637 road.

Education

Kexbrough has two schools. One primary and one secondary. Those being Darton College and Kexbrough Primary School.

It is located at approximately 53° 35' North, 1° 32' 30" West, at an elevation of around 360 feet above sea level.

Notable People
Jon Burkinshaw was once the landlord of the White Bear pub on Ballfield Lane. Not once did he give a free pint away nor did he ever host a 'lock in' for his oldest mates. Some say he was the worst landlord in brewing history. Even worse than Grant Mitchell.
