Rideau Valley Air Park, (TC LID: CPL3), located 3 nautical miles (5.6 km; 3.5 mi) south of Kars is a small airport south of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on the shore of the Rideau River. The airport has a single 1,800 by 100 ft (549 by 30 m) grass runway, and serves mainly ultralight and glider traffic.[1]

Users

Rideau Valley Soaring is a gliding club that operates from the Kars/Rideau Valley Air park on a daily basis during the soaring season. The club consists of approximately 30 members flying both private and club aircraft. The gliding club owns a Grob 103 and a Schweizer SGS 2-33 training gliders plus a Schweizer 1-34. The club also hosts interclub competitions with the Gatineau Gliding Club and the Montreal Soaring Council.[2] As of fall 2018, a Krosno Puchatek is being loaned to the club by the Montreal Soaring Council.
