Kappa Chamaeleonitis, Latinized from κ Chamaeleonitis, is a star located in the constellation Chamaeleon. Its apparent magnitude is 5.024.[2] It is 480 light-years, or 146 parsecs away, based on the star's parallax.[1]

Kappa Chamaeleontis is an K-type giant star[3] with an effective temperature of about 4,389 K.[7] It is 1.4 times as massive as the Sun, and is 9.4 times as wide.[6]
