Kapil Krishna Thakur was an Indian politician and a member of parliament to the 16th Lok Sabha from Bangaon (Lok Sabha constituency), West Bengal.He is From Thakurnagar.

He won the Indian general election, 2014 being an All India Trinamool Congress candidate.[1] He is a graduate of the University of Calcutta.[2]

He was the eldest son of Matua Barama Binapani Devi and the sanghadhipati of Matua Mahasangha. Majulkrishna Thakur is his younger brother.[3]

He died at Kolkata on 13 October 2014, after being ill for sometime.[3]
