Kampong Parit or Parit, also known as Serigan, is an area in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei, as well as a village-level subdivision in Kianggeh, a mukim (subdistrict) in Brunei-Muara District. The postcode for Kampong Parit is BA1912.[1][2] It is home to Batu Satu commercial area, one of the capital's commercial areas, as well as a few of the Islamic religious education institutions in the country.

Name

Kampong Parit comes from the Malay name which translates as 'Parit Village'.

Commercial area

Batu Satu commercial area, located within Kampong Parit, comprises a cluster of shophouses, small-sized shopping centres and other commercial buildings. The businesses are mainly retail. There are also a few lodging establishments.
