Kalisochchina Adrishtam (English: Got a Huge Luck) is a 1968 Telugu drama film, produced by M. Jagannatha Rao under the S.V.S. Films banner[3] and directed by K. Viswanath.[4] It stars N. T. Rama Rao and Kanchana in the lead roles,[5] with music composed by T. V. Raju.[6][7]

Plot

The film begins with Rao Bahadur Raghavendra Rao traveling in a train along with his pregnant wife, due to the labor pains she has been admitted into a remote village hospital, but she dies along with the baby. At the same time, Parvatamma (Santha Kumari), a poor woman who belongs to the village tries to commit suicide after giving birth to a baby boy due to poverty, having many children and her husband being drunkard. Parvatamma gives the boy to Raghavendra Rao after persuasion by servant Ramayya. The boy grows up by the name Prakash (N. T. Rama Rao) and he is in love with Sobha (Kanchana), daughter of Paanakaalu (Dhulpala), head of a village. Though Panakalu is a cruel money lender, his children Sobha and Ganapathi (Rajababu) are good-natured. Once Prakash comes to the village on the invitation of Paanakaalu. Parvatamma stays in the same village along with his son Ranga (Satyanarayana) and daughter Gauri (Sandhya Rani). Ranga is also a drunkard that's why his father-in-law (Mikkilineni) does not send his daughter Lakshmi (Sukanya) to his house unless he is changed. Meanwhile, Ganapathi is in love with Gauri. Parvatamma recognizes Prakash as her son by the chain on his neck which she has presented during his birth time. Then Prakash gets a telegram that Rao Bahadur is on his deathbed, he immediately reaches there, Parvatamma also follows him to see him and he passes away. After his death, Prakash suspects that some truth is hidden, he gets it through Ramayya and he is very happy to know that he has a mother, sister and brother. He brings them to his home, but Ranga is already a slave to vices and plays to the tune of manager Bhujanga Rao (Prabhakar Reddy). Bhujangam's eye is on Gauri and Ranga promises Bhujangam that he will give her to him. Prakash tries to change his brother, but he quarrels with him when Ranga decides to leave the house, with no other choice Prakash gives his entire property to his brother, unites him with his wife Lakshmi and leaves the house along with his mother and sister to the village. Knowing this, Paanakaalu refuses to marry Sobha with Prakash. Ganapathi is also fed up with his father's attitude and leaves the house. Meanwhile, Ranga cheats Lakshmi by taking a divorce from her and manages Paanakaalu to remarry Sobha. Now Prakash comes in disguise as Sardarji and teaches a lesson to his brother and Paanakaalu with help of Sobha and Ganapathi and reunites the family. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriages of Prakash and Sobha; Ganapathi and Gauri.
