Kaiser-i-Hind (disambiguation)
Kaiser-i-Hind may mean different things, including the following:
- Kaisar-i-Hind (sometimes misspelt as Kaiser-i-Hind), meaning "Emperor of India". Originally derived from Roman title Caesar, or Qaisar in some other oriental languages (e.g. in Hindi), or Kaisar in Urdu.[1] Based upon this, the title Kaisar-i-Hind was coined in 1876 by the orientalist G.W. Leitner as the official imperial title for the British monarch in India.[2] The last ruler to bear it was George VI, Qaiser e Hind,[3] "Emperor of India" (in Hindi and Urdu).
- Kaisar-i-Hind Medal, a civilian award of the British Raj
- Kaiser-I-Hind (newspaper), a newspaper founded in 1882 in Bombay
- Kaiser-i-Hind (steam-powered ship) The ship that transported members of the Australian Flying Corps to Australia after World War I.
- Teinopalpus imperialis, a swallowtail butterfly commonly known as the Kaiser-i-Hind
