Kadakkarappally is a village in Alappuzha district in the Indian state of Kerala.[1] This is a panchayat which comes under the Cherthala Assembly constituency.

The village became famous due to the Thankey church (St.Mary's Forane Church)[2]. Thankey is a great pilgrim center in this village. Millions come here to get the blessing of the Jesus and the miraculous statue of Passion of Our Lord with growing hair[3].

The village's name is known for being the site of a shipwreck called The Kadakkarapally Boat. Archaeological excavation determined that the flat-bottomed boat dated to AD 920 –1270.
