K. Parasuraman was born on 15th December 1960 in Pudur Village, Orathanadu Taluk at Thanjavur District, Tamilnadu. His father U. Kuppusamy a farmer who belongs to kallar community. His mother K.Thangammal is a simplicity and hardworker. He highlighted the diversity of his extended family. It is like a little mini-Orathanadu. Parasuraman has two sisters and two brothers.

After graduating from Poondi Pushpam College, he moved to Thanjavur. Parasuraman married Smt.P.Vijayalakshmi on 16th July 1990. He has one lovely daughter and Son Pallavi and Pavithiran.

He enrolled the business with honestly at Thanjavur and took an interest in politics. He represented the Neelagiri Panchayat President and he elected with high votes. He was re-elected to the same panchayat second time, this time he got the votes more than the first has re-electeds re-elected again in third time and he got the votes more than the second time that he is proud of such achievements in Tamil Nadu. During his period as a Panchayat President, he was developed excellent progress in education. He has served to pursue continuity education for downtrodden and poor students. He regularly provided books to Thirukkural for students. So far, fifty thousand books has been given by him.

He has close contact with all the people in the Nilagiri Panchayat, due to that everyone knows and affection with him and they called “Annan”. Around 20,000 saplings trees were planted by him in Thanjavur District.

K. Parasuraman is an Indian politician and Member of Parliament elected from Tamil Nadu. He is elected to the Lok Sabha from Thanjavur constituency as an Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate in 2014 election.

Shri. K. Parasuraman showed the highest activity in the Lok Shaba among the MPs from Tamil Nadu. He raised 451 Questions and also participated in 77 Debates as of December 2016.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

KV SCHOOL PERMANENT BUILDING:

K.Parasuraman hardly tried to achieve the sanction of funds for construction of "A" type school building 9 units staff quarters, boundary wall etc., at an estimated cost of Rs.1835.59 Lakhs inside the Airforce Station at Thanjavur.

His successful debates and activities include “Improvements and Rehabilitation of Irrigation Systems in Cauvery Basin for Efficient Irrigation Management” at an estimated cost of Rs 11420 Crores. First Phase of this project “Extension, Renovation and Modernisation of Grand Anicut Canal Sub-basin of Cauvery Basin in Tamil Nadu” was approved by the Technical Advisory Committee of Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation on 30.9.2016 for an amount of Rs 2298.75 Crores.
