Joshua Lowey (born December 16, 1984) is an American baseball pitcher for the Acereros de Monclova of the Mexican Baseball League.
Career
Lowey worked his way up through the independent-A Frontier League, American Association and Atlantic League and has pitched parts of the last four seasons for the Acereros de Monclova of the Mexican League through 2017. During that time, he has racked up 41 victories and maintained a 2.92 ERA, getting selected to 2 All-Star games and winning the Pitcher of the Year award in 2015. Due to his success on the mound, he's become a fan favorite in Monclova, earning the nickname El Alcalde, or 'The Mayor' in English.
Lowey signed with the KT Wiz of the KBO League for the second half of the 2016 season.[1]
