Joshua "Josh" Heintzeman (born December 5, 1977) is a Minnesota politician and member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. A member of the Republican Party of Minnesota, he represents District 10A, which includes portions of Crow Wing County in northern Minnesota.[1]

Early life, education, and career

Born in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, but at a young age his family moved to Motley where he entered the Motley School. Heintzeman was home-schooled after the fifth grade by his parents. His junior year, Heintzeman enrolled as a PSEO student at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, Minnesota. He studied there from 1995-1997. He graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree in Business. He has owned a small-business since 1995 called Up Country Log that specializes in log building. Heintzeman has served on the Thirty Lakes Water Shed Board and is a member of the Brainerd Chamber of Commerce. He also served as the Chair of the Crow Wing County Republicans.[2][3]

Heintzeman was elected on November 4, 2014 defeating the incumbent Rep. John Ward (DFL) by 6.83% or 1,108 votes.[4]

Personal life

Heintzeman married his wife Keri on June 26, 1999. They have 5 kids. They reside in Nisswa, Minnesota.
