Joe Philbin is an Irish international rugby league footballer who plays in the second-row for the Warrington Wolves in the European Super League.(Heritage Number № 1112)[1][2]

He broke into the Warrington Wolves first team in 2014.

Philbin was born in Warrington, England.

Playing career

Played his junior rugby at local amateur clubs Culcheth Eagles and Latchford Albion before joining Warrington, aged 16.

In 2016 he was called up to the Ireland squad for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup European Pool B qualifiers.[3]

Warrington

Joe currently plays for Warrington in Super League at second row. His début was against Hull Kingston Rovers, where he unfortunately picked up a hip injury. Joe returned for the first team a month later against London Broncos.

Philbin scored his first career try against Catalans Dragons in February 2015, and the following week he scored again, this time against Hull Kingston Rovers.

Bradford

He was sent on a month's loan to Super League side Bradford Bulls in January 2014.
