Jim Merrill was an American lobbyist and politician from the state of South Carolina. A former member of the Republican Party, he was the Representative for the 99th district of the South Carolina House of Representatives. He was suspended in 2016 after being indicted on corruption charges.[1][2] He resigned on August 31, 2017 amid the allogations.[3]
