Jerash Local Government

Jerash Local Government was one of seven local governments (Irbid, Al-Salt, Al-Karak, Ajloun, Jerash, Ar Ramtha, and Deir Yousef) founded in the Transjordan in 1920 to fill the political space after the fall of the Arab government in Damascus following the Battle of Maysaloun. It played an important role in maintaining security and managing the needs of the people. Muhammad Ali Al-Mughrabi was appointed as the head of the government.[1]
