James Brown Sings Raw Soul is the nineteenth studio album by American musician James Brown. The album was released in March 1967, by King Records.[1][2] Hit singles on the album included Bring It Up,the socially conscious Don't Be a Dropout,the two-part single Money Won't Change You, and Let Yourself Go. All four singles reached the Billboard Pop and R&B listings. Brown's vocal group, The Famous Flames , did not participate on this album, with the exception of Bobby Byrd, who recorded on "Don't Be A Dropout".
