James Brown Plays James Brown Today & Yesterday is the twelfth studio album by American musician James Brown. The album was released in November 1965, by Smash Records, and is an entirely instrumental album in which in is implied by the jacket information and cover photographs that James Brown is playing organ. While Brown's signature style of funk music is featured, several tracks venture into jazz arrangements, including, but not limited to, Horace Silver's "Song For My Father".[1][2]
