Jaida Dreyer (born April 25, 1991) is an American-Canadian country music singer, songwriter and a world champion equestrian based in Nashville, Tennessee. She was signed as the flagship artist on Streamsound Records, a label founded in 2012 by Byron Gallimore.[2][3]

Biography

Dreyer debuted in 2012 with the singles "Guy's Girl" and "Confessions", both of which charted on Hot Country Songs. Her songs have been recorded by Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Sunny Sweeney, Sara Evans, Granger Smith, Eric Church, Buddy Miller and Blackie and the Rodeo Kings. "Home Alone Tonight" was recorded by country music artist Luke Bryan as a duet with Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town for his fifth studio album, Kill the Lights (2015). The song was performed on the American Music Awards and followed with a multi-week number 1 single.[4][5]

Dreyer made her debut on the Grand Ole Opry on June 23, 2012 and has appeared since as a frequent guest. In early 2013, Deyer released her third single, "Half Broke Horses". Dreyer's debut album, I Am Jaida Dreyer, was released on February 26, 2013 and received widespread critical acclaim.[6] In 2013, she was nominated by the Canadian Country Music Association for the Female Vocalist of the Year award. Dreyer wrote nine songs for the hit television musical drama, Nashville, which airs on ABC. "Dreams" was performed by Hayden Panettiere's character Julliette Barnes[7] and "This Town" performed by Clare Bowen's character Scarlett O'Connor.[8] Her songs have also been featured in A&E's "The Returned" and Netflix's "Longmire".

Dreyer wrote "Sleeping In The Stars" with Mark Irwin and Gareth Dunlop. The song was performed by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and appears on their 2017 album, The Rest of Our Life.
