Predecessor | Jaguar XF (X250) |
The Jaguar XF (X260) is an executive/mid-size luxury car and estate produced by British car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover. Jaguar unveiled the second-generation XF saloon in a high-wire publicity stunt above the River Thames in London on March 24, 2015, ahead of the car's official debut at the 2015 New York International Auto Show.[2] The first generation XF was the Jaguar XF (X250) which was introduced in 2007.
Overview
The XF is an evolution of the original J-Blade design pioneered in the original XF, with a largely similar silhouette. Jaguar is trying to build a uniform design language across its saloon range.[3]
The current XF uses 83 percent all-new parts compared with the previous model.[4] The car is 7 mm (0.3 in) shorter than the predecessor.[5][6] The manufacturer used aluminium as the primary component of the body structure and chassis. The XF's bodyside panel is a single-piece aluminium pressing.
Jaguar unveiled its second-generation XF Sportbrake in 2017.
XFR
The Jaguar XFR is a high-performance version of the XF saloon and estate which went out of production in 2015. The pictures below show the R-Sport trim currently available across the Jaguar range. As yet, (May 2018) Jaguar has not announced if or when a replacement XFR will be released.

Chinese and Indian models
A long wheelbase version debuted at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show, with 140 mm (5.5 in) added to the wheelbase giving rear passengers 157 mm (6.2 in) more legroom and 116 mm (4.6 in) more kneeroom. As many of these cars will be chauffeur driven, there’ll be wifi for rear passengers, along with the option of folding tables, massaging seats and electric window blinds.
It's the first aluminium-bodied car built in China. It debuts a couple of new tech features, with Clear Exit Detection warning passengers of opening the doors into traffic approaching from behind. With an eye on China’s poor air quality, there’s also new cabin air ionisation technology to make the air inside the car more comfortable. And for the driver, the latest InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with its 10.2-inch touchscreen works alongside a configurable 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Two 2.0-litre I4 and one 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol engine will be offered, with all versions getting an eight speed auto box driving the rear wheels. 22 September 2016, Jaguar XF was launched in India for Rs. 4,950,000 [7] Pricing for the XFL in China is 388,000 to 688,000 yuan.
Engine specifications
The manual transmission was first time introduced in the second generation of Jaguar XF. Previously there was only automatic transmission available.
