Shahzada Ja'far us Sadiq Imaduddin (Arabic: جعفر الصادق عماد الدين) is the eldest son of Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin the current incumbent of the office of the 53rd Dawoodi Bohra Da'i al-Mutlaq,[1] and the grandson of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin.

He is a poet, scholar and one of the four rectors of Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah.

Education

Career

He lectures at Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah. and Dawoodi Bohra community centers.

He is also one of the Senior Fellows of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought [7] and is also a signatory of the Amman Message, which is a declaration calling for tolerance and unity in the Muslim world that was issued on 9 November 2004 (27th of Ramadan 1425 Hijri) by Abdullah II of Jordan.[8]

He was appointed as a rector of Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah. (Arabic: امير الجامعة) on 27 Rajab 1436H corresponding to 15 May 2015 by Mufaddal Saifuddin.[9][10][11]

Personal life

Dr. Imaduddin was born on 23 September 1973 corresponding to 24 Sha'ban 1393H. In 1996, Dr. Imaduddin married Zaenab Nuruddin, the daughter of Shabbir Nuruddin b. Syedna Taher Saifuddin.

Recognition & Awards

  •  India: On 15 May 2015 (27 Rajab 1436 Hijri) - he was given the cognomen "Imaduddin" (Arabic: عماد الدين) by Syenda Mufaddal Saifuddin. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin then selected his own teknonym Kunya (Arabic) as "Abu Jafar al-Sadiq" (Arabic: ابو جعفر الصادق مفضل سيف الدين). Following which he was then appointed one of four the rectors of Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah..[9][10][11]
  •  India: He was conferred two of the highest degrees of Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah; "Thiqah al-Da'wah al-Taiybiyyah" (Arabic: ثقة الدعوة الطيبية; translation: The trusted of the Taiyebi Da'wah) and the degree of "al-'Aleem al-Baare' " (Arabic: العليم البارع; Translation: The Outstandingly Learned) on 3 May 2016 (27 Rajab 1437 Hijri).[12]
